Turtle Watch Programme (SPOT)

The Society for the Protection of Turtles (SPOT) runs guided turtle watching experiences during the nesting season (June–September) at Alagadi Beach and other nesting sites. Volunteers and marine biologists lead small groups to observe nesting female turtles and hatchling releases. This conservation tourism programme has operated since 1992 and contributes to vital research on Mediterranean sea turtle populations.
