Varosha (Maraş) Viewpoint

The Varosha (Maraş) district of Famagusta is one of the most haunting and historically significant areas in North Cyprus. Once a glamorous resort quarter frequented by international celebrities including Elizabeth Taylor and Brigitte Bardot, Varosha was fenced off and remained frozen in time for nearly five decades. In recent years, sections have been partially reopened for supervised visits.
